Legal action will be taken against those who do not accept, violate and do not implement the Cement Marketing Guidelines.

Addis Ababa, July19,2022 (MOTRI) The Ministry of Trade and Regional Relations informed the cement investors and producers that the gaps in the implementation of the cement guidelines will not be tolerated.

It is stated in the guidelines that decisions will be enforced against cement manufacturers for government construction projects, various associations of development organizations authorized by the region to carry out cement marketing, and private developers as necessary if they use the product taken for marketing outside of the intended purpose.

It is also stated in the guidelines that regional and city administrations should talk to commercial offices and cement producers' associations to identify cities and prepare sales centers, giving priority to mega government projects to be built at the federal level, and ensuring that the amount is verified by the relevant government institution.

When the guidelines were evaluated since they were implemented, it was found that the factory could not set the selling price and inform it quickly in a report.

Therefore, Mr. Hasan Mohamed, Minister of Trade and Regional Relations, called the cement investors and discussed them widely, asking what is the reason for the gaps in their implementation.

Finally, he responded by listening to the questions raised by the producer and investor and said that the next government will fix the problems that need to be addressed and that this guideline was prepared for the benefit of both the producer and the consumer. If this is not done, administrative and legal action will be taken against those who violate the guidelines and do not implement them.
