A discussion was held on the draft amendment of the business competition and consumer protection

Addis Ababa 18/5/2023 (Motri) The Ministry of Trade and Regional Cooperation held a discussion with the officials of the Central Trade Bureau and the relevant stakeholders on the Draft Amendment Proclamation 813/2006 on Trade Competition and Consumer Protection.
In the business system and licensing sector of the ministry, State Minister Ato Teshale Belhu said that by modernizing the business system, establishing new systems and creating a business system based on competition, the rights of the consumer society should be protected.
The Minister of State stated that since the commercial competition and consumer protection decree is not transparent, the new draft amendment decree has been prepared which includes legal provisions that can make the consumer society useful and effective.
