Exporters who earned high foreign exchange were recognized

Addis Ababa, July24,2022(MOTRI) 36 exporters who earned the highest foreign exchange earnings in the 2014 fiscal year were recognized and awarded on the Ethiopian Export Day program to encourage export trade.

 The recognition was given by comparing the amount of dollars earned by the exporters who earned more than 25 million dollars in the completed fiscal year, and 36 exporters who achieved high export results from 12 export trade sectors were recognized and awarded.

Those who were recognized were engaged in textile and clothing, food and beverage pharmaceutical, mineral, vegetable and fruit, flower, coffee and tea, livestock sector and engaged in oilseeds, pulse crops, leather and leather products, chemical and construction and meat and meat products sector. The 3rd place exporters were presented with a trophy and a certificate, and the 1st-3rd exporters with the highest scores received their special prizes.

In addition, 11 government institutions that coordinate the export trade by sector and play a major role in the export trade were also recognized and thanked.

The program was attended by several senior government officials, including the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Federal Republic of Tanzania, Mr. Tagese Tzafo and the Governor of the National Bank, Mr. Yingare Dese.
